Assembly member Boerner’s Representative meets with Safe Harbor

Recently, Assemblymember Tasha Boerner’s representative (77th District), Robson Winter, met with the Executive Director, Danielle Maske and Safe Harbor Board Member, Whitney Benzian to engage in a meaningful discussion about expanding mental health resources and support services for local youth and families.

The meeting highlighted the urgent need to address mental health challenges within the community, and explored ways to strengthen existing programs and create new initiatives that can better serve the population.

By collaborating on these efforts, they aim to equip Coronado families and youth with the tools and resources necessary to navigate life’s challenges, reduce stigma around mental health, and promote healthier, more supportive environments for future generations. Safe Harbor is actively working to diversify its funding sources and is exploring whether there are avenues for the state to assist in securing additional funding. Through this partnership, the goal is to create a more resilient community where mental wellness is prioritized and every individual has the opportunity to thrive.
