We Raised $63,000.
We Still Need $62,000.
Help us protect mental health programs for Coronado youth.
RUNNING NOW - JUNE 1, 2025
If we don’t close the $62,000 gap, we may be forced to scale back prevention programs, counseling services, or both.
Coronado youth mental health has been struggling, with 32% of our kids feeling hopeless, and similar percentage having had thoughts of suicide.
Mental health resources in Coronado schools have declined
The end of Covid-era funding has left schools with fewer resources to support students’ emotional well-being
Demand for services is up
Safe Harbor’s newly hired counselor reached her legal client limit in just 3 months - a clear sign of overwhelming community need
Funding is disappearing
Individual donations and grants are down across the nonprofit sector due to the current economic climate
“I am so excited for him to be able to continue there, he is really enjoying it! Just to share with you. He made it very known that he did not want to go at all for months prior to going. The other day I asked him what the best part of his day was, he said therapy”

Safe Harbor Coronado has seen an 35% increase in client sessions, and we anticipate a 50% increase by years end

Inside Our Programs
Our Drug Prevention Program reaches 6th graders before risky behaviors begin — helping students build decision-making skills, resist peer pressure, and understand real-world consequences.
“Every presentation was incredibly helpful toward giving them the tools they will need to stay drug-free. I started crying when our student actor collapsed on the floor. I sniffled through the rest and thought I would be ok until the actor’s parents walked into the emergency room. I lost it again. It was SO real. I am hopeful that today will haunt our 6th grader minds when they most need it.”

Together, we can protect Coronado’s kids.
Every donation — big or small — brings us closer to the finish line.
Help us Fund the Gap and ensure no family is left behind.
