Session 6 - Teaching kids to complete chores without reminders and without pay

Parents will learn about:

• Steps for getting resistant kids to do chores

• What to do if kids refuse or forget to do them

• Why chores help kids feel loved and needed

• Why it’s better to call chores contributions

Session 5 - Guiding kids to own and solve their problems

Parents will learn about:

• How to guide our kids toward owning and solving their own problems

• Why this gives the gift of self-esteem and personal responsibility

• What to say when they encounter teasing, bullying, and other tough problems

Session 4 - Avoiding power struggles

Parents will learn about:

• How to share control, or risk that our kids will harm themselves trying to get control from parents

• Sharing control through choices

Session 3 - Setting limits without waging war

Parents will learn about:

• The power of enforceable statements

• By setting enforceable statements, parents enjoy the benefit of always being able to follow through

Session 2 - Teaching responsibility without losing their love.

Parents will learn about:

• Kids desperately need limits

• Kids learn to develop good decision-making skills by making small mistakes and experiencing the natural or logical consequences

“Love & Logic”: A six-week parenting series providing simple, practical and proven tools for raising respectful, responsible, and happy kids!

Parents will learn about:

• End arguing and manipulation

• Avoid power struggles

• Guide kids to own and solve their problems

• Set kids up for success via “small mistakes” method

Session 1 - Most people don’t need to be told that getting into arguments with their kids is a bad thing. This session will teach parents how to apply the Love and Logic approach to neutralize arguing.

Love & Logic: Effective Parenting Solutions. We had an incredible response to this offering and we have reached capacity for this first seminar at Silver Strand. However, Safe Harbor will be offering a second session of this workshop in 2024! More information will be shared at a later date.
